Alabama TE Amari Niblack plans to enter the transfer portal

Amari Niblack, a tight end that just finished his second season at Alabama, plans to enter the transfer portal, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Niblack played in 24 games while in Tuscaloosa, including five starts on the Crimson Tide offense.

In those appearances, Niblack caught 21 passes for 342 yards and five touchdowns. Much of that came this past year as a sophomore where he caught 20 passes for 327 yards and four scores. He was the top tight end target in the pass game as ‘Bama’s third-leading receiver in catches and yards while tying for second in reception touchdowns.

Niblack played high school football at Lakewood (FL) where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 89 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 3 TE in the class and a Top-15 player out of the state of Florida.

Niblack is the latest transfer from the Tide after the change of leadership at Alabama following the retirement of Nick Saban.
