Bixby (Okla.) four-star tight end Luke Hasz took an official visit to Alabama over the summer. Even though he committed to Arkansas on Jan. 22, the Crimson Tide are still pushing for his commitment.

That was very clear on Thursday night. Head coach Nick Saban and wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins made an in-home visit to Hasz.

Hasz is the No. 209 overall prospect and No. 12 tight end in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 4 player in Oklahoma.

The 6-foot-2.5, 240-pound pass catcher is the fourth-highest-ranked pledge in the Razorbacks’ 2023 recruiting class. He is one of three Arkansas tight end commits alongside Ashdown (Ark.) four-star tight end Shamar Easter and Eudora (Kan.) three-star Jaden Hamm.

Meanwhile, Alabama has one tight end commit in its 2023 class. Thompson’s Station (Tenn.) Independence four-star Ty Lockwood chose the Crimson Tide on Aug. 2.

Hasz has an On3 NIL Valuation of $30K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Luke Hasz On3 Scouting Summary

The following is the On3 Scouting Summary for Luke Hasz:

“Flex tight end prospect who has the route running and ball skills of a wide receiver for Oklahoma high school powerhouse Bixby. Caught 33 passes for 436 yards and 2 touchdowns during his undefeated, state championship winning junior season. Leaner athletic build with impressive length. Basketball player whose balance and body control translates to the football field. Smooth route runner that shows quality flexibility and wiggle.

“Possesses solid power and strong blocking ability despite his frame. Threw just over 49 feet in the shot put and over 154 feet in the discus during his junior track and field season. Will need to add substantial mass to be a factor in the run game at the collegiate and NFL levels. One of the older tight end prospects in the 2023 recruiting cycle.”
