Nick Saban can use a lot of different things in order to recruit the best of the best to Tuscaloosa. On Sunday, though, his pitch took place in his garage and a featured a crimson Ferrari.

Dre Kirkpatrick Jr., a three-star safety and the son of former Alabama CB Dre Kirkpatrick, shared a video of Saban on his Instagram story. It showed the Crimson Tide’s head coach getting in the front seat of the slick car and fire it up for the group of commits and recruits.

It won’t take much pageantry to continue to win Kirkpatrick Jr. over when it comes to Saban and Alabama. His father played for Saban in three of his first five seasons in Tuscaloosa and posted 66 tackles, three interceptions, and three forced fumbles with one recovery.

That’s why, as part of the 2024 class, ‘Bama is where Kirkpatrick Jr., a Top-100 safety and Top-50 player in the state according to On3’s Industry Ranking, is committed to play next season.

Saban has a laundry list of ways to make his case to recruits who are considering coming to Alabama. However, if all else fails, being able to get behind the wheel of a sports car like that certainly doesn’t make you seem any less impressive to high schoolers.

Saban roasts Pat McAfee over SEC Championship pick on College GameDay

Pat McAfee provided a viral moment on ESPN College GameDay before the SEC Championship.

The energetic analyst chose the ‘Dawgs and got Georgia fans fired up. That was before he turned it around and picked Alabama to upset the Bulldogs. McAfee and Nick Saban then spoke about that trick during Saban’s weekly appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ on Thursday.

“They showed me what you did before the game when you made your pick. I mean…you have to be crazy to do something like that,” said a laughing Saban.

McAfee shared that he wasn’t exactly sure how many fans were around before he trolled the Bulldogs. He was a bit surprised when he realized just how packed it was.

“I didn’t know there was that many people there, either. It wasn’t that packed at the beginning of the program. I had not turned around in a while,” McAfee said. “When they showed that sky view and it was the entire convention center packed out? That was when it really started getting real. Like, ‘OK, here we go’.

“But, Coach, I believed. I believed in your team,” said McAfee.

Saban and Alabama went on to make McAfee look smart, beating Georgia 27-24 in the SEC title game to clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff.
