A highly ranked transfer prospect from Georgia Tech announced his new home on Monday, as the SEC gains another talented pass rusher. Former Georgia Tech defensive end Jordan Domineck will be joining the Arkansas Razorbacks this season, according to a post shared by Domineck on social media.

Arkansas receives pass rusher via transfer

Domineck recently completed his first official visit of the Arkansas campus over the previous weekend, after a heavy recruiting process from the Razorbacks. The commitment was even sweeter given that Arkansas was competing with another SEC powerhouse in Auburn. While both schools heavily recruited Domineck, he never made an official visit to Auburn as he planned to do after his Arkansas visit. The Razorbacks made enough of an impression that he made up his mind by Monday.

Domineck was ranked 61st among edge rushers in the transfer portal by the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings.

“I’ll definitely make my decision in April,” Domineck said last week before his visit to Arkansas. In the past two seasons at Georgia Tech, Domineck had 73 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

Arkansas hosts multiple prospects

Derby (Kan.) running back Dylan Edwards was set to visit Oklahoma this previous weekend as part of the Sooners’ massive junior day event, but had a change of plans. Instead, the 5-foot-7, 154-pound speedster headed to Arkansas to see the Razorbacks as well.

Edwards is the No. 359 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 25 running back and the No. 4 junior prospect in Kansas.

Edwards was named the 2021 Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year award. It capped off a junior season that saw Edwards rush for 2,603 yards, 40 touchdowns, and rack up more than 3,214 all-purpose yards.
