It’s been quite the day for Joshua Manning of Lee’s Summit (Mo.) High School.

First, Manning found himself newly minted as the nation’s No. 272 overall player in the On300. He also saw his On3 ranking climb to No. 7 overall in the Show-Me State and No. 40 at the receiver position.

Then later on Monday, Joshua Manning shared on social media that he added a big-time offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks.

The offer meant a lot to Manning, especially since his mother played basketball for the Razorbacks. With the offer post, Manning also shared a picture of his mother in her Arkansas basketball jersey.

“My mom went to college there, so I’ve been down there a couple of times non-football related,” Manning said. “Other than, that I don’t really know much about them but hopefully I can learn.”

It’s just the latest in a run of offers for the talented four-star target.

Nine days ago, Manning picked up an in-state offer from the Missouri Tigers. Manning also holds offers from Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Washington, Cincinnati, Kansas State, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Iowa State.

Spring visits coming up for Joshua Manning

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine is currently favoring Kansas because of multiple visits to Lawrence. The Jayhawks are listed with a 47.1% chance of landing Manning, especially after he said he has built a good bond with new KU receiver coach Terrence Samuel.

“I had a great time getting to know him,” Joshua Manning said.

Iowa, Nebraska, Cincinnati and K-State are other schools listed high in the On3 RPM. Joshua Manning really liked recent visits to Nebraska and K-State, and he plans on returning to Manhattan for the Wildcats’ spring practice.

“I love the campus and the football team,” Manning said about his trip to K-State. “But I still haven’t met the new coach (receivers coach Thad Ward) yet, though.”

Iowa State is also expected to get a visit in the spring. The Cyclones’ recruiting efforts are being led by Kansas City native and former Rockhurst High quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase. He’ll also return to the Iowa campus on March 5.

Joshua Manning is also working on setting up a visit to Seattle this spring to check out the Washington Huskies. The Huskies’ new receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard recently offered him a scholarship.

“I’m super excited about that visit,” Manning said.
