Afterwards, Pittman was asked about possible replacements, and he already has an idea of who would be next in line.

Jaedon Wilson,” answered Pittman. “Obviously Warren hasn’t started a whole lot of games, with Matt [Landers] and all those things, but Jaedon Wilson, to answer your question, would be the next guy in that rotation.”

On the season, Thompson had amassed 12 receptions for 178 yards and two touchdowns, while has just one reception for two yards on the season. Obviously, the latter is going to see an uptick in playing time moving forward, it seems.

Sam Pittman, Arkansas have lots to play for against Ole Miss

Continuing, the Arkansas Razorbacks have lost significant momentum after back-to-back losses versus Liberty and LSU. However, head coach Sam Pittman knows there is still plenty left on the table to play for versus Ole Miss in Week 12.

On Monday, the head hog discussed what’s at stake on Saturday night.

“It’s always exciting to play Ole Miss, especially with Lane being the coach,” Pittman said. “He’s a popular man, great coach, all those types of things, and he’s got them going. Fans are going to be excited about the game because there’s a lot of offense.

“Last year it was 52-51, I’d say that’s a lot of offense. They have a really good offensive team, and we do too. If we can get our quarterback back, I think it’ll be one hell of a game, just like these ones games have been. If I thought we had any advantage on that, it’d be playing at home at night.”

“Our fans haven’t left us and it’ll be sold out just like it was on Saturday,” Pittman continued. “They’re disappointed and guess what? So am I. We’re working hard to change that. They’re going to show up and raise a lot of heck, we’re going to need them too. That’s what the series is all about. We recruit a lot of the same kids… Sam Carter left and went over there, a lot of different things. There’s certainly a lot to play for. We aren’t bowl eligible and we certainly need to get that way.”

The 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday is the third of three straight home games for the Razorbacks. Arkansas found itself on the short end of two three-point games in the past two weeks. They are facing the prospect of once again playing without starting quarterback KJ Jefferson, but Sam Pittman stated Jefferson “feels fine” ahead of the showdown.
