With a 4-0 record and wins over ranked opponents Texas and Texas A&M, Arkansas has finally ascended from the depths of college football bottom-feeders. The SEC Shorts team took on the Razorbacks’ move out of the ‘FBS basement’ in their newest video.

In the video, perennial bottom-feeders like Ohio, UNLV, UConn, UMass, Vanderbilt and Kansas all live in the ‘FBS basement.’ In their communal living space, the teams struggle to lift light weights (UMass), read up on when the right time to move out of D-I football might be (Kansas) and count the number of days since one of the group was ranked.

As the teams settle in for a watch party to check out Vanderbilt’s historic 62-0 loss to Georgia, UConn wonders where Arkansas is.

The Hog enters and breaks the news to the rest of the FBS basement. The Razorbacks are moving out. Arkansas shocks and awes as they share they’ve beaten two ranked teams and are now No. 8 in the country.

“You’re Arkansas, you lost to North Texas 44-17,” UConn says. “You lost to San Jose State.”

The SEC Shorts crew even went a little meta as they acknowledge their previous criticism over the Sam Pittman hire.

“It turns out that group just grasps at low-hanging fruit gags without any real knowledge of the sport in order to make a low effort joke due to their tight turnaround time,” Arkansas says.

Arkansas gets the full support from the FBS basement in the end as they move up and in to the “top 25 penthouse.” The other teams slow clap as the Razorback heads out the door, ready to face No. 2 Georgia this week.

The Hogs’ bunk doesn’t stay empty long. Florida State comes through the door looking for a new home.

FSU and Arizona are the only Power Five schools without a win so far this season. At 0-4, the Seminoles have dropped games to Notre Dame, Jacksonville State, Wake Forest and Louisville.

Is Arkansas this year’s Cinderella Story?

Arkansas is a real contender in the SEC West, and they’ll have another shot to knock off a ranked team next weekend against Georgia.

“We beat No. 15 (Texas) and No. 7 or 5 (Texas A&M),” Pittman said in his postgame press conference. “Well, someone will say Texas A&M ain’t any good because Arkansas beat them. Well, someone will say Texas ain’t any good because Arkansas beat them.

“But I think both those teams are really good. And I think the Razorbacks have a good football team. That’s how it is.”

After Georgia, the Hogs go head-to-head with a high-power Ole Miss offense before hosting Auburn back home in Fayetteville.
