Tyler (Texas) four-star athlete Derrick McFall received an offer from Auburn on Tuesday. He announced the news over social media.

McFall is the No. 87 overall prospect and No. 5 athlete in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 14 player in Texas.

The 5-foot-10, 175 pound prospect has received 18 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for his commitment. Texas A&M currently leads for McFall’s pledge at 42.7%, while Texas has the next-best chance at 37.3%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

McFall has taken five visits to both the Aggies and the Longhorns. He also took an unofficial visit to Alabama on June 21.

Regarding Auburn’s 2024 recruiting class, the Tigers currently have two commitments that cycle. They are Miami Christopher Columbus four-star quarterback Adrian Posse and Alabaster (Ala.) Moody School four-star cornerback A’Mon Lane.

The four-star has an On3 NIL Valuation of $65K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
