Midlothian (Texas) four-star wide receiver Bryant Wesco spent last weekend on an official visit to Clemson. Following his trip to Death Valley, the Tigers are leading for his commitment.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Clemson is in front for Wesco at 52.6%. On3’s Chad Simmons and Sam Spiegelman both placed expert predictions in favor of the Tigers.

“I’m hearing Clemson made a significant move for numerous targets over the weekend and Wesco was one of them,” Simmons said. “More than one source feels Clemson emerged as the favorite coming out of the official visit. It is still something to watch and monitor, but based on what I’m hearing, Clemson has become the school that LSU, Oklahoma and TCU are chasing.”

Wesco is the No. 31 overall prospect and No. 9 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Texas.

On3 rates Wesco higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 26 overall prospect and the No. 6 wide receiver in the country.

“Clemson has a great reputation and they always have success with their wide receivers,” Wesco told Spiegelman on May 30. “They always have great QBs, great facilities, a great culture and a great campus. The way they treated me when I was there, it was like I was family, and I loved how the players interacted with each other.”

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound wideout also went to Clemson on March 25. Meanwhile, he took an official visit to USC on May 19 and has scheduled officials to LSU (June 10), TCU (June 17) and Tennessee (June 23).

Landing Wesco would be another big recruiting win for Clemson

Wesco is not the only talented wideout that head coach Dabo Swinney and his staff are trending for. The RPM currently gives Clemson an 84.2% chance to land Tampa (Fla.) Tampa Catholic four-star wide receiver TJ Moore.

Meanwhile, the Tigers earned a commitment from Jefferson (Ga.) five-star linebacker Sammy Brown on June 5. Following his pledge, Clemson’s 2024 recruiting class ranks No. 10 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 2 in the ACC.

“This 2024 class we’re going to have might be one of the best classes in history,” Brown told Simmons. “The domino effect has already begun. Because of me committing, there’s going to be others over the next couple of days and weeks. This class is going to be really good.”

Woodstock (Ill.) Marian Central Catholic four-star tight end Christian Bentancur, Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy four-star defensive lineman Hevin Brown-Shuler and Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day four-star cornerback Tavoy Feagin are the Tigers’ other commits ranked in the top 250 of the On3 Industry Ranking.
