Valdosta (Ga.) four-star defensive lineman Omar White announced his commitment to Colorado on Monday. He chose the Buffaloes over multiple programs, including Auburn, Clemson and South Carolina.

White is the No. 102 overall prospect and No. 10 defensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 18 player in Georgia.

On3 rates White higher than other recruiting services, per the Industry Comparison. According to the 2024 On300, he is the No. 83 overall prospect, No. 7 defensive lineman and No. 13 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-2, 305-pound recruit is now the second member of the Buffaloes’ 2024 recruiting class. Compton (Calif.) Leuzinger three-star wide receiver Daijon Calimon chose head coach Deion Sanders and his staff on Dec. 3.

White has an On3 NIL Valuation of $66K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Colorado is already finding recruiting success under Sanders

Colorado is working hard to land some of the top players in the 2024 cycle. In addition to White, they have extended offers to New Haven (Conn.) IMG Academy five-star cornerback Ellis Robinson IV, Oklahoma City (Okla.) IMG Academy five-star defensive lineman David Stone, Los Alamitos (Calif.) four-star defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham and Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star defensive lineman Aydin Breland among others.

Meanwhile, Sanders has already earned pledges from multiple blue-chip prospects. They include Derby (Kan.) four-star running back Dylan Edwards, Vivian (La.) North Caddo four-star wide receiver Omarion Miller, Thomasville (Ga.) Thomas County Central four-star wide receiver Adam Hopkins and Fort Myers (Fla.) IMG Academy 2025 four-star wide receiver Winston Watkins Jr.

White is the Buffaloes’ second commitment in the last two days. Douglasville (Ga.) South Paulding three-star quarterback Kasen Weisman chose Colorado on Christmas after decommitting from Kansas on National Signing Day.
