Through a litany of injuries throughout his career, Florida‘s Jaydon Hill picked off Missouri quarterback Brady Cook for a touchdown in the first quarter of the Gators’ homecoming matchup vs. the Tigers. The pick-six was the first interception of Hill’s career.

Hill suffered a torn ACL in preseason camp last year, which forced him to miss the entire 2021 season and earn a medical redshirt. He was non-contact through spring ball this offseason, but then had another setback during the summer.

“He’s got–really, what makes him special to me is he actually has a significant care for other people. I mean, he’s walking around living life and he’s got enough wisdom and perspective to realize that there’s other people out there, and he’s not consumed with himself. He’s actually thinking about other people around him. So, he’s doing good things for other people now. He’s making a difference now. He’ll do that the rest of his life. That’s who he is.”
