Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines four-star offensive tackle Solomon Thomas has committed to Florida State.

He chose the Seminoles over the likes of the likes of Florida and Miami.

Thomas is the No. 28 overall prospect and No. 6 OT in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 3 player in Florida.

The 6-foot-4, 315-pounder was in Tallahassee on Oct. 21 for a game visit as FSU defeated Duke. That visit made a big impact on Thomas, as did offensive line coach Alex Atkins, who helped lead the Seminoles’ push for the blue-chip tackle.

“It was a great game and it was a crazy atmosphere,” Thomas told Warchant. “This is the kind of atmosphere you want to play in. The coaches are great people, (they have) great teammates. And when you see guys rotating, and they have a great attitude and they are playing with a purpose and not for themselves.

“That’s what you want to be around.”

Thomas has an On3 NIL Valuation of $95K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Seminoles add big piece to 2025 class

As the attention begins to turn to the 2025 cycle, FSU now has three pledges in the class. Thomas flanks Sanford (Fla.) Seminole four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard and Jacksonville Mandarin three-star quarterback Tramell Jones.

Pritchard is the No. 302 overall prospect and No. 34 LB. Jones, the No. 27 QB in the cycle, committed to Norvell and the Noles back in April.

“What ultimately stood out to me about FSU were the games,” Jones told On3 upon his commitment. “They were exciting, the fans were crazy and I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the Doak Campbell Stadium. Then the ability to develop quarterbacks and turn a quarterback into a Heisman Trophy contender for next season really stood out to me. The relationship that I have created with the staff is not like any other. I know Coach Norvell is creating something special in Tallahassee and I want to be a part of it.”
