There has been a lot of debate about Florida State getting snubbed by the College Football Playoff, especially given the main reason was the injury to quarterback Jordan Travis. Amid all the chaos, Travis has managed to handle the situation with more grace than many others have.

While debating the snub on Get Up, Heather Dinich praised Travis for his handling of the situation. In particular, she praised his attitude toward Alabama and quarterback Jalen Milroe.

“One thing, of all the people who’ve been yelling about this,” Heather Dinich said. “I just want to say that no one has handled this in a classier way than Jordan Travis who expressed his disappointment and then turned around and said, ‘Hey, Jalen Milroe, go win it all, man.’ And I think there’s a lot of adults in the room who could take a page out of his playbook and just take a deep breath and say, ‘Go on, man, Everybody go figure it out. See who wins.'”

It’s not entirely uncommon in sports for players to want the team their team lost to go win it all. After all, if it’s not going to be your team, you may as well have been taken out by the best team. At the same time, it’s also easy to be bitter in a situation like this.

Still, in a reply to Jalen Milroe on Instagram Jordan Travis did tell him to go win it all, writing, “Go win it all brodie.”

Alabama will take on Michigan in the Rose Bowl, a semifinal game of this year’s College Football Playoff. Florida State, meanwhile, will stay in-state for the Orange Bowl against Georgia.

Jordan Travis sends message to fans

After getting snubbed, Jordan Travis sent out a message to Florida State fans. In it, he made it clear that outside opinions shouldn’t change how they feel about this team.

“Thank you to the fans for a great season. We are not done yet, and lets control what we can control. The journey has been so great, and today we are ACC champions. Let’s not let the opinions of others affect how we feel about being champions of this conference. Proud of this team,” Travis tweeted.

This was a message that he sent after having some time to reflect on what happened. It also came after a much more emotional initial response.

“devastated,” Travis wrote. “heartbroken. In so much disbelief rn, I wish my leg broke earlier in the season so y’all could see this team is much more than the quarterback. I thought results matter. 13-0 and this roster matches up across any team in those top 4 rankings. I am so sorry. Go Noles!”
