The Georgia Bulldogs added former Clemson offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter and Texas A&M and Memphis offensive coordinator Darrell Dickey to the staff, according to Jake Rowe of DawgsHQ.

Both will serve in off-field roles, according to Rowe. What they exactly will do under Kirby Smart remains to be seen.

Both had extensive experience working with quarterbacks, particularly Streeter. Streeter most recently coached D.J. Uiagalelei and Cade Klubnik with the Tigers.

He also recruited Deshaun Watson before he became a first round pick.

“He’s a first-class person. And a beautiful family. Brandon Streeter and Ashleigh have represented Clemson. They’re Clemson people,” Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said earlier in February. “We give an award in Brandon’s honor and we continue to do that. He is a true Clemson man, and did a fantastic job for the Clemson Tigers. Worked tirelessly to make us better, and he made us better.”

When Tony Elliott left to become the head coach at Virginia following the 2021 season, Streeter was promoted to OC.

The Clemson offense improved in its one year with Streeter in charge. The Tigers went from 26.3 points per game to 33.2 and from 359.2 yards per game to 410.3. But Swinney didn’t feel that it improved enough and made a change following the Orange Bowl.

“I just felt like it was the right time. We weren’t quite where we needed to be,” Swinney said. “These are hard decisions, especially when you love the people that are involved. And I absolutely love Brandon Streeter and Ashleigh and [their children] Chamberlin and Foard and [Mason Morgan]. They’re family to me and always will be.”

Dickey last coached at Texas A&M in 2022 as the offensive coordinator under Jimbo Fisher. He served in the role since 2018. He also coached at Memphis, Texas State, New Mexico, Utah State, North Texas, SMU, UTEP, LSU and Mississippi State throughout his career since 1985.

Dickey was the head coach at North Texas from 1998-2006 and went 42-64. He was also the interim head coach for Memphis in 2015 and went 0-1, losing the Birmingham Bowl.
