Nashville Christian four-star quarterback Jared Curtis has committed to Georgia.

He chose the Bulldogs over the likes of Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas.

Curtis is the No. 3 overall QB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. Nationally, he checks in as the No. 14 overall prospect.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder has taken plenty of visits to Athens — including a recent trip in January. The UGA staff have built solid relationships with the elite signal-caller and have now landed his pledge.

“I love the way they continue to win and they are a great team and any quarterback that goes there will always have talent around them,” Curtis told On3. “I feel that they will recruit the best of the best and they are a powerhouse school that will start to take over for sure. Those things stand out about Georgia.”

“Coach (Mike) Bobo and coach (Montgomery) VanGorder do a great job recruiting me,” he told On3’s Chad Simmons in January. “That is where it starts with Georgia. I love to be up there around those guys and it is always fun when I am on campus. They recruit me hard, they always invite me to visit and it is a place I like. Georgia has been rolling and I expect them to keep rolling and being a top program.”

Curtis is the Dawgs’ first pledge in the 2026 cycle. UGA finished with the top-ranked class in the 2024 cycle and currently own a top-three pledge list in the class of 2025. The elite gunslinger is a major addition for Kirby Smart and Co. in Athens.

More on Georgia Recruiting

Georgia has six commitments in its 2025 recruiting class — which ranks No. 3 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. Humboldt (Tenn.) three-star defensive lineman Stephon Shivers pledged earlier this week and is the second DL in the fold for UGA, joining Manchester (Ga.) five-star Justus Terry, the No. 8 overall recruit in the cycle.

Not only is Terry also the No. 2 DL and No. 2 player in Georgia, but he’s also one of three top-100 commits in the Dawgs’ class. He’s flanked by Folkston (Ga.) Camden County four-star tight end Elyiss Williams and Buford (Ga.) four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte.

Williams is the top-ranked TE in the On3 Industry Ranking and a top-30 recruit overall. Perlotte is the longest-tenured pledge in the class, as he committed to Georgia on Dec. 2, 2022.

“I’ve been committed to Georgia since right after my sophomore year, going on two years being committed there. Just staying loyal, but looking around, seeing other opportunities that I can have. Being committed to Georgia is such a high standard, everybody wants somebody like that,” Perlotte told On3’s Phillip Dukes last month. “Right now I’m locked in with the Dawgs.”

The class also features Alpharetta (Ga.) four-star TE Ethan Barbour — the No. 10 player at his position in the cycle. He rounds a strong spine to the UGA class alongside Shivers and Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove three-star running back Bo Walker.
