Final On3 2024 5-star Rankings 13 Newly Minted 5-stars!! New No. 1 Qb | Inside Scoop

On3 has released its final recruiting ranking for the 2024 class after the completion of the high school football season and all-star competitions. New Haven (Conn.) IMG Academy cornerback and Georgia signee Ellis Robinson IV ranks No. 4 overall and five-stars in the 2024 On300.

The latest edition of On3’s 2024 rankings features 32 five-star players, up from 21 in the penultimate update in November. Of those 32 prospects, 29 are signed to college programs, with three still yet to make their decisions official.

This final update comes after the end of the high school playoffs and postseason All-American games, where top prospects across the country faced off in a week of practices and ended with nationally televised games.

A native of New Haven, Conn., Robinson committed to the Bulldogs on Feb. 1. He chose UGA over LSU, Colorado, Alabama, and Miami. Despite a late push from the Hurricanes and the departure of cornerbacks coach Fran Brown to Syracuse, Robinson enrolled and began bowl practices with the Bulldogs last month.

“What stood out to me about Georgia was the relationships I built with the coaches and I’m also very comfortable being there with the players and coaches,” Robinson told On3 upon his commitment. “When I’m with the players on campus I feel like I belong there and I fit in as a player just like them.”

Ellis Robinson IV Scouting Summary

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this about him as a prospect:

“Ball-hawking cornerback with plus length, ball skills and refined movement skills. Has shown the ability to make high-level plays on the ball throughout his high school career. Measured close to 6-feet, 175 pounds prior to his senior season. Has plus length for the position with arms that measure a shade under 33 inches. Dominated competition in New York’s Catholic league as a sophomore, bringing in eight interceptions. Made several impressive, acrobatic picks. Moved to IMG Academy as a junior, where he looked like the top defensive back on the Ascenders’ loaded roster. Made strides as a junior relative to his technical skills.

Pairs his length and ball skills with refined footwork. Understands routes and generally stays in phase. Embraces matchups against top receivers and is willing to get physical at the line of scrimmage. Also tests as a good athlete in the combine setting. While his speed is good, he does not register as elite for the position. Can continue getting stronger and adding good mass once in a college strength program.”
