Kansas State is trending to land one of the best tight ends in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

The Wildcats had Goodland (Kan.) four-star TE Linkon Cure on campus in Manhattan four times in 2023. That includes a pair of trips this summer, as well as a pair of game visits this fall. With eyes beginning to turn toward the 2025 class, K-State is looking to lock down one of the best in the Sunflower State.

On Sunday, On3’s Chad Simmons and Sam Spiegelman each logged picks in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) in favor of the in-state program landing Cure’s pledge. K-State Online’s Derek Young and Mason Voth each did the same in 2023.

Cure, the No. 35 overall recruit and No. 2 TE in the 2025 cycle, per the On3 Industry Ranking, owns an impressive offer list — including Auburn, Oregon, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan and more. It’s the Wildcats that appear to have the momentum, however.

“You know, growing up a fan, I just know how the culture is, I know how they run things,” Cure said of K-State to On3 back in November. “They definitely have just been recruiting me the hardest, so that’s been a big stand-out.”

K-State now has a 97.8% edge in the On3 RPM for the 6-foot-4.5, 210-pounder. TEs coach Brian Lepak and Director of Recruiting Taylor Braet have the Wildcats’ charge.

“It was great to see all the coaches in person again,” Cure said of his November visit to K-State Online. “I love the relationships I have with all of them. Personally, I really like the snow game even though it was really cold. The whole experience was a lot of fun.”

The Wildcats are currently without a commitment in the 2025 cycle, but the addition of Cure would be a fantastic place to start. K-State’s 2024 class currently ranks No. 44 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Cure has an On3 NIL Valuation of $83K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
