Donovan Rieman saw what he needed to see.

Rieman, a 6-foot-4, 230-pound EDGE from Enid, Okla., was on an official visit this weekend to Kansas State. During the visit to Manhattan, he was offered a scholarship.

It was an offer he accepted on Sunday afternoon.

In a social media post, Donovan Rieman shared the news of his commitment.

“After an amazing official visit, I’m blessed to announce that I have been offered by Kansas State University,” Rieman said. “I’m 1,000% committed. Go Cats!”

Donovan Rieman also had scholarship offers from Bucknell, Harvard, Southeast Missouri State and Yale. He was named his district’s defensive player of the year after recording 10 sacks.

Intel indicates the Wildcat coaches were hoping his name would stay under the recruiting radar through December because he ranked really high on their defensive end board.

Donovan Rieman is the Wildcat’s 14th known commitment in the 2022 class. The Wildcats rank ninth in the Big 12 and No. 63 overall in the country.

Three-star linebacker Tobi Osunsanmi of Wichita (Kan.) East is the top overall commitment in the K-State class. Recent offensive line pledge Jalen Klemm of Gibsonia, Pa., is another highly-regarded Wildcat commitment.

Donovan Rieman is currently unranked by On3 and by most recruiting media companies.
