On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine: Kansas State trending to flip 2024 safety Callen Barta from Nebraska
Following a pair of expert predictions, Kansas State is now trending to flip the commitment of Topeka (Kan.) Seaman three-star safety Callen Barta away from Nebraska.
The Wildcats currently hold a 95.1% chance of flipping Barta according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Nebraska recruiting insiders Sean Callahan and Bryan Munson each logged expert predictions in favor of Kansas State at 55% and 45% confidence levels respectively.
“I love how the whole state of Nebraska is involved with the football program,” Barta said about his Nebraska commitment in June. “It felt like a family since the first day that I went there.
“And with coach Coop and coach Rhule being there, I trust what they’re gonna do in the future and I am prepared to start the work.”
Barta is the nation’s No. 1,649 overall prospect and No. 155 safety in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in Kansas.
