Transfer Portal 1207

Former Indiana wide receiver Donaven McCulley is taking a visit to Kentucky this weekend, he said via social media. He entered the transfer portal last week after the departure of Tom Allen.

McCulley had a big year for IU this past season, leading the Hoosiers with 644 receiving yards and six touchdowns in what turned out to be Allen’s final year at the helm. He holds multiple offers after entering the transfer portal Nov. 28. It was by far his biggest year with the Hoosiers after he totaled just 169 yards and a touchdown in 2022.

McCulley is currently the No. 35 overall player to enter the portal and the No. 4-ranked wide receiver transfer, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Rankings.

Donaven McCulley played high school football at Lawrence North (IN) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 211 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
