Miami is hosting a large contingent of elite recruits on Monday, including two five-star prospects, according to a report.

According to 247Sports’ Gaby Urrutia, Miami is hosting five-star and Alabama commitment Jahlil Hurley on a Monday visit. Hurley of Florence (Ala.) High has been committed to the Crimson Tide since February. He had a slew of national offers, including from Miami, when he originally committed. This is believed to be the first time the nation’s No. 2 cornerback has been on campus with the new Miami coaching staff.

Urrutia also reported five-star cornerback Desmond Ricks – the No. 1 player in On3 Consensus Class of 2024 rankings – is also visiting Miami on Monday. Ricks is originally from Chesapeake, Va. But he plays his high school football at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

While it’s still early in the process for Ricks, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine says Alabama is the team to beat in his recruitment. The Crimson Tide has a 44.2% chance of landing Ricks, followed by Florida State at 27.4%. It’ll be interesting to see if the Canes become a bigger factor after the visit.

More elite Miami visitors

Miami is also hosting Oregon four-star receiver commitment Jurrion Dickey of San Jose (Calif.) Valley Christian on Monday visit, Urrutia reported. Dickey, the No. 85 player overall in the On3 Consensus and the No. 13 receiver, committed to the Ducks in early May.

However, Mario Cristobal was previously recruiting him when he was at Oregon, and Dickey has talked in the past about his relationship with the coach. Yet, the Canes didn’t make Dickey’s final five schools, and he told On3’s Chad Simmons that he was “locked in” with the Ducks. So, the visit is a new development to follow.

Two other uncommitted four-star junior visitors expected on campus Monday are safety Jaydan Hardy and receiver Brandon Winton Jr. of IMG Academy. Local Miami commitments Robby Washington and Bobby Washington are also reportedly set to be there Monday, too.
