Miami offers On3 5-star DL Justin Scott
Chicago St. Ignatius five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott has earned an offer from Miami.
Scott is the No. 12 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The 2024 On300 ranking has Scott ranked as the No. 3 prospect in the class.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $110k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has Notre Dame as the early favorite in Scott’s recruitment.
He made his second visit to South Bend, Ind., at the end of July.
“It was a lot better,” he told Blue & Gold. “I got to meet more of the coaching staff. As soon as I walked in the door, Coach [Chad] Bowden was so excited to see me. I got to meet Coach [Marcus] Freeman for the first time. It was a really good experience.”
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
