Four-star wide receiver James Madison II of Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas High announced his commitment to Missouri Tuesday afternoon.

The 6-foot-3, 195 pounder chose the Tigers over Louisville and Florida State.

Madison on why he chose Mizzou

“What stood out is the opportunity to help continue on the trajectory they are on to bring Missouri football to what it should be. It’s also me going back home for college. I never played high school ball there so going back is a full circle moment from there.”

Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him

“I’m very close with the entire coaching staff from offense to defense, all great people. I am closest with coach Peeler, the receiver coach and coach Drinkwitz and coach Kirby Moore with many others. In the offense they want to use me the best way I can be used inside and outside just in the best position I can be in. And obviously score a lot of touchdowns!”

The Sunshine State wide receiver joins coach Eliah Drinkwitz and the Tigers’ top 70 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by three-star linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez, three-star quarterback Aidan Glover, and others.

Madison ranks as the No. 345 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 60 wide receiver and the No. 64 player in the state of Florida.

He currently does not have an On3 NIL Valuation publicly listed. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
