Missouri continued its run of commitments on Tuesday and continues to climb in the latest On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.

The newest addition to the Tigers’ class is three-star Madison (Ala.) Clements School EDGE Jaylen Brown.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pounder chose the Tigers over Houston and Maryland, as well as Jacksonville State, Georgia Southern and a handful of other programs.

“After talk with my mom I’ve decided it’s time to commit!” he wrote on Twitter. “I’d like to thank all coaches that have recruited me. Thank you to my mom for supporting me throughout the recruiting process. Thank you to Coach Burke for pushing me everyday to be the best I could be and all my James Clemens Jets family! And thank you to Coach Peoples and Coach Drinkwitz for believing in me. That being said I’m committing to Mizzou Football!”

Tigers continue to add commitments

After landing Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman and in-state star Williams Nwaneri earlier this month, Brown gives the Tigers another addition to their 2024 class. He also moves Mizzou up to 13 commits total.

The class is headlined by Nwaneri, Jonesboro (Ark.) Valley View four-star linebacker Brian Huff, and Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas wide receiver James Madison II.

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Western three-star Justin Bodford is the lone other defensive lineman committed to Missouri in addition to Nwaneri and Brown. Elsewhere on the defense are Panama City (Fla.) A. Crawford Mosley three-star cornerback Cameron Keys, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas three-star linebacker Nicholas Rodriguez, Valley (Ala.) three-star safety Cam Dooley, Canton (Ga.) Sequoyah three-star safety Jackson Hancock and Saint Louis (Mo.) Francis Howell three-star linebacker Jude James.

The Tigers are also strongly in contention for another local five-star prospect, St. Louis-area wideout Ryan Wingo. He currently has a commitment date set for Dec. 20, but the latest intel suggests he could move that up soon.

“Early on the buzz was around Tennessee with Wingo,” On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons said earlier this week. “The Vols are still on his list, but not at the top. Depending on who you talk to, at the top is either Missouri or Texas. Both schools feel confident, and the thing to watch is Wingo’s decision timeline. He’s always planned to take it to December, but there is buzz picking up that a decision could come as early as this month, and he confirmed that with On3 earlier this week. This could still go a few different ways.”
