Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic four-star cornerback Jaeden Gould has committed to Nebraska.

“I’ve always had a great relationship with the staff there since my freshman year,” Gould said of Nebraska. “When I visited and when I opened my recruitment back up, they were at my school the next day so I really got a great vibe from them. And, my official visit also went well.”

Gould is now the highest-ranked commit in the Cornhuskers recruiting class. Nebraska is now up to 11 commitments in the 2022 class.

Gould went on a visit to Lincoln, Nebraska during the first weekend in December. The visit came just a few days after he decommitted from USC.

“First and foremost I would like to thank coach Donte (Williams) and the USC staff for believing in me and offering a scholarship,” Gould said at the time. “With that being said, after long thoughts and talks with my family, I think it would be best if I step back to explore my options.”

Jaeden Gould Scouting Summary

On3 Director of Scouting Charles Power wrote the following on Jaeden Gould as a prospect:

Big, versatile defensive back capable of playing cornerback or safety. Lines up all over the secondary for one of the top high school programs in the state of New Jersey, working at corner, nickel and safety. Has the highest upside as a safety in our opinion. Shows good instincts and ball skills in coverage. Reads the quarterback and breaks to make plays on the ball. Capable of tracking the ball over his shoulder. Looks to have adequate play speed but isn’t a burner and can continue to smooth out his movement patterns in coverage.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Gould as the No. 213 overall player in the nation.
