2024 3-star S Brody Barnhardt offered by North Carolina
2024 Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day School three-star safety Brody Barnhardt received an offer from North Carolina on Wednesday night. He announced the news on social media.
Barnhardt, a 5-foot-11, 170 pound prospect, is the No. 418 overall prospect and No. 36 safety in the 2024 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 11 player in North Carolina.
On3 rates him even higher. Even though he is not rated in the 2024 On300, Barnhardt is ranked as the No. 31 safety and No. 7 player in North Carolina by On3.
Barnhardt has received 10 offers. Some of the programs who have extended them include NC State, North Carolina and Wake Forest.
According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race between NC State and Virginia Tech for Barnhardt’s commitment. The Wolfpack leads at 42.7%, while the Hokies aren’t far behind at 37.4%.

North Carolina’s 2024 recruiting class currently has no commitments. However, the Tar Heels’ 2023 class has 14 pledges and is ranked No. 24 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings, as well as No. 5 in the ACC.
Barnhardt has an On3 NIL Valuation of $14.4K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
