Elite 2024 offensive tackle Guerby Lambert of West Roxbury (MA) Catholic Memorial announced his commitment to Notre Dame Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-7, 305 pounder chose the Fighting Irish over Boston College, Ohio State, and Harvard.

“The opportunities for life after football there are endless,” Lambert said. “They have an amazing coach staff, great engineering program(which is the major I want to get into), and overall faith. I prayed over this decision everyday and I feel that God is telling me Notre Dame.”

His relationship with the coaching staff played and their plan for him played a key role in his decision as well.

“I’d say I’m closest to Coach Rudolph and Coach Freeman. Their plan is just to coach me into being the best player and human I can be.”

The Bay State offensive lineman joins coach Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish’s top 15 2024 class. He is accompanied by four-star wide receiver Cam Williams, four-star quarterback CJ Carr, and others.

Guerby Lambert Recruiting Profile

Scouting Summary

On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about him as a prospect:

“Toolsy offensive tackle with a high-end combination of size and movement skills. Measured at around 6-foot-6, 290 pounds with a 34-inch arm prior to his senior season. Has worked primarily as a right tackle while playing for one of the better high school programs in Massachusetts. Plays with outstanding bend and flexibility. Has a flat back in his stance and drives off the ball low to create a leverage advantage against smaller defensive linemen. Uses his long arms to control defenders at the point of attack. Shows encouraging reactive quickness in his pass set. Has added functional play strength over the past year, but can continue improving in that regard. Will need to hone his pass blocking technique, but has the movement skills and physical dimensions to be a strong pass protector with coaching and development. Also participates in track with solid throws in the shot put, marked by a personal best toss of 45-9 feet.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $127K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
