Final On3 2024 5-star Rankings 13 Newly Minted 5-stars!! New No. 1 Qb | Inside Scoop

On3 has released its final recruiting ranking for the 2024 class after the completion of the high school football season and all-star competitions. West Roxbury (Mass.) Catholic Memorial offensive tackle and Notre Dame signee Guerby Lambert is a new five-star and the No. 18 overall prospect in the 2024 On300.

The latest edition of On3’s 2024 rankings features 32 five-star players, up from 21 in the penultimate update in November. Of those 32 prospects, 29 are signed to college programs, with three still yet to make their decisions official.

This final update comes after the end of the high school playoffs and postseason All-American games, where top prospects across the country faced off in a week of practices and ended with nationally televised games.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pound Lambert committed to the Fighting Irish on Sept. 19, choosing them over Boston College, Ohio State, and Harvard.

“The opportunities for life after football there are endless,” Lambert told On3 upon his commitment. “They have an amazing coach staff, great engineering program(which is the major I want to get into), and overall faith. I prayed over this decision everyday and I feel that God is telling me Notre Dame.”

Lambert is Notre Dame’s lone five-star in the On300, but is one of five top-100 recruits in the On3 Industry Ranking that are headed to South Bend to play under Marcus Freeman and Co.

Guerby Lambert Scouting Summary

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this about Lambert as a prospect:

“Toolsy offensive tackle with a high-end combination of size and movement skills. Measured at around 6-foot-6, 290 pounds with a 34-inch arm prior to his senior season. Has worked primarily as a right tackle while playing for one of the better high school programs in Massachusetts. Plays with outstanding bend and flexibility. Has a flat back in his stance and drives off the ball low to create a leverage advantage against smaller defensive linemen. Uses his long arms to control defenders at the point of attack. Shows encouraging reactive quickness in his pass set. Has added functional play strength over the past year, but can continue improving in that regard. Will need to hone his pass blocking technique, but has the movement skills and physical dimensions to be a strong pass protector with coaching and development. Also participates in track with solid throws in the shot put, marked by a personal best toss of 45-9 feet.”
