LOOK: 5-star DL Justin Scott visiting Notre Dame
Chicago St. Ignatius five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott made a visit Tuesday to Notre Dame, posting photos of the visit on social media.
Scott is the No. 12 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
The 2024 On300 ranking has him as the No. 3 prospect behind only Chandler (Ariz.) five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola and Chesapeake (Va.) IMG Academy five-star cornerback Desmond Ricks.
Scott is a raw player who’s game experience isn’t very high due to the pandemic but he has an extremely high ceiling.
“He has a gifted size and athleticism, so as he develops in the weight room and on the field, he is going to be so much better,” Justin is unique because of his size and skill and he is only going to get better.”
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $110k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
