Marcus Freeman and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish revealed some sweet uniforms with an ode to The Hangover on Wednesday — showing off some beautiful threads that they’ll rock for their Shamrock Series showdown against BYU in Las Vegas on Oct. 8.

Check out the awesome reveal below — the acting of Freeman in the parody of the iconic comedy movie may be just as good as the actual uniforms.

After the video made waves on social media, Freeman joined the crew over at First Take on ESPN to explain how it all came together.

“It’s pretty cool,” stated Freeman. “They flew me and two of our players — Isaiah Foskey and Michael Mayer — to Las Vegas. We play a Shamrock Series game vs. BYU. We get new uniforms for that game every year. So they flew us out there and then they said, ‘Hey, we’re going to kind of do a Hangover-type parody for it.’ I didn’t get into this profession to act, but they made us do some acting. It was really cool.

“The jerseys are unbelievable, they put so much detail into them. I’m excited for our players to get a chance to wear those.”

Marcus Freeman and Notre Dame set the bar for uniform reveals with their mini-film on Wednesday. It’ll be interesting to see how teams attempt to top the Fighting Irish moving forward, and how other coaches look to challenge Freeman’s abilities in-front of the camera.

Marcus Freeman weighs in on Notre Dame’s future as an independent

The talk of the college football world is what will Notre Dame do as it pertains to conference realignment, and if they’ll end up joining either the Big Ten or SEC.

Entering his first season leading the Fighting Irish, head coach Marcus Freeman gave some interesting thoughts on the matter during an appearance on Get Up on ESPN.

“Listen, I depend on our President, our Athletic Director — Father [John] Jenkins and Jack Swarbrick — to make those big decisions,” responded Freeman. “One thing I know is I really enjoy every time you bring that up. Programs are talking about what Notre Dame is going to do. We love that. We love being independent. Our program really was built on being independent.

“I think as long as we can continue to do that, we will. But I know they will never put our program in a position to fail. So if we have to join a conference, I’m sure we will.”

As you can see, Marcus Freeman isn’t pressing for Notre Dame to make a move to a conference, but he’ll welcome whatever move the Fighting Irish decide to make.
