Chicago St. Ignatius five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott has picked up an offer from Notre Dame.

Scott is the No. 15 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is the No. 3 overall recruit in the 2024 On300 ranking, which the Industry Comparison shows is Scott’s highest ranking from one of the major recruiting media companies.

Scott currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $110k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power said that while there is still a lot of room for him to grow.

“Defensive lineman Justin Scott rounds out the initial five-stars, checking in at No. 3 overall,” Power said. “The 6-foot-5, 310 pounder burst on the scene this fall while playing his first season of varsity football at St. Ignatius in Chicago. Though new to football, Scott’s easily identifiable natural talent currently separates him among the defensive line group. His explosive and fluid movement skills are readily apparent. Scott runs like a much smaller player and makes high-level athletic plays in pursuit. There’s no question he’ll need to continue developing like most other top prospects, but we view Scott’s ceiling high enough to merit the early five-star rating.”
