Ohio State is trending for Birmingham (Ala.) Parker 2025 Five-Star Plus+ cornerback Na’eem Offord, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.

The Buckeyes lead with an 81.6% chance of landing Offord, per the RPM. He is the nation’s No. 5 overall prospect and No. 1 cornerback in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Offord previously visited Ohio State last summer and is expected to be in Columbus this weekend.

Ryan Day & Co. have already put together one of the best classes in the 2025 recruiting cycle, currently ranking No. 2 in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Adding Offord would be a major boost to a class secondary that already includes Houston North Shore five-star cornerback Devin Sanchez — the No. 2 cornerback in the 2025 cycle — and Baltimore St. Frances Academy Blake Woodby — the No. 8 cornerback in the class. The Buckeyes are also trending in the RPM for Conroe (Texas) four-star cornerback Dorian Brew and Shaker Heights (Ohio) four-star cornerback Trey McNutt — the Nos. 3 and 5 cornerbacks in the class.

“He’s probably one of the top defensive coaches out there, especially at the cornerback position,” Sanchez said about Buckeyes cornerbacks coach Tim Walton. “He’s the only cornerbacks coach in college football that’s had 10-plus years in the league as a defensive coordinator. You don’t know too many coaches who have that. He’s coached big-time guys, he’s got guys like Jalen Ramsey on his resume, and over the past two years you’ve seen what he’s done with Davis (Igbinosun) and (Denzel) Burke.”

“Denzel is gonna be a first-round pick, and I want to be a part of that,” Sanchez added.

Woodby also noted the Buckeyes’ development at the position.

“Their slogan is: develop here,” Woodby said. “The biggest thing for me is getting to the league. Ohio State produces cornerbacks, they believe in guys like me and they coach their guys up. I was going where I felt I would be put into the best position to get to the NFL and that is why I chose Ohio State.”

Elsewhere, Ohio State holds three additional commitments from top-100 prospects: Bellefontaine (Ohio) quarterback Tavien St. Clair, Philadelphia Imhotep Institute EDGE Zahir Mathis and Toledo Whitmer offensive tackle Carter Lowe.
