Every college football program has its characters and putting them on full display can lead to hilarious moments. For Ohio State, they recently decided to give defensive tackle Taron Vincent a microphone during practice. Whether he was speaking to himself, teammates, or coaches, Vincent was funny throughout a video the Buckeyes posted on Twitter.

Some of the best bits came when talking about Marvin Harrison Jr. He was comparing the young receiver to his NFL Hall of Fame father multiple times. Jones is projected to be a star this season for Ohio State but Vincent was still having fun with him.

“I bet if that was your Dad, Marvin, he would have caught it,” Vincent joked.

Later, after Jones made a play, Vincent had to give him credit.

“Now you’re looking like your Dad, Marvin.”

Vincent produced plenty of other gems. He even interacted with the referee that was at practice as well. You can watch the full video here.

Hopefully, Ohio State will mic up a few more players during fall camp, giving us gems such as this video more often. Seeing the personalities of players when they’re not in the midst of competitive games makes it easier to cheer for them as well. Vincent was hilarious throughout, making what is an important few weeks for the Buckeyes a little easier.

Vincent was a member of the 2018 recruiting class and will now enter his fifth season of playing college football. Whenever he is not making hilarious comments, the Ohio State defensive lineman is most likely making plays. With 28 career games played, Vincent has eight starts, 35 tackles, and 6.5 tackles for a loss.

Ohio State will kick the season off with style, hosting Notre Dame on Sept. 3. Taron Vincent will be there to terrorize the Fighting Irish offensive line if he’s not joking with them.
