Since news that Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley was bolting for USC, one of the biggest questions on the minds of Sooner fans is what is going to happen with Los Alamigos.

The Los Alamigos are trio of junior blue-chip recruits – Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Malachi Nelson, four-star athlete Makai Lemon and four-star wide receiver DeAndre Moore – from Los Alamitos (Calif.) High.

One of the Los Alamigos has already made it clear that he’s looking around. Nelson, the top-ranked junior in California, announced his decommitment from the Sooners on Sunday night.

Lemon hasn’t said much about where he stands at this point, other than tweeting a cryptic “hmmm” message with an eyeball emoji.

However, Moore made it clear he’s with the Sooners still – for now.

Can Oklahoma keep DeAndre Moore?

Moore, who is originally from Las Vegas, has a strong bond with Oklahoma running back coach and former Bishop Gorman mega recruit DeMarco Murray.

At this point, it’s unclear whether or not Murray is leaving to join Riley’s staff at USC. Riley will be bringing at least three Oklahoma assistant coaches with him to California in defensive coordinator Alex Grinch, co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh and wide receivers coach Dennis Simmonssources tell On3’s Matt Zenitz.

But if Murray is still on the staff at Oklahoma, there’s at least a fighting chance for the Sooners to keep Moore on board.

But it’s there’s also a strong possibility that Moore could look another direction, especially toward the Trojans.

On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons has logged predictions for Nelson, Lemon and Moore to eventually commit to USC.

“I expect this trio to stay together,” Simmons said. “Maybe at the same time. Maybe they all do their own thing. I have locked in my prediction for each to be a Trojan. It is likely only a matter of time before the dominos start to fall and each commits to Riley – again. This time though, to a school in their home state, only 30 minutes from home.”

Moore is the No. 53 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the No. 9 receiver in the country and one of the best of the best in California.
