Melissa (Texas) three-star interior offensive lineman Owen Hollenbeck has committed to Oklahoma, he announced on Saturday.

He chose the Sooners while also holding offers from Arkansas, Florida and Texas A&M. Hollenbeck is the No. 50 IOL and No. 93 player in the Lone Star State, according to the On300.

“Throughout this whole process I have been blessed with many opportunities, none of which would be possible without God. I want to thank my family who continue to believe in me and give endless support. To my Melissa High School coaches and teammates, a brotherhood whose memories will last a lifetime. Lastly, I would like to give a huge thank you to the coaches who recruited me. I am proud to say I have committed to The University of Oklahoma. BOOMER,” Hollenbeck wrote in his announcement.

Hollenbeck has made four documented trips to Norman, including trips in September and at the end of November. He is the teammate of 2024 four-star defensive lineman and current Sooners pledge, Nigel Smith II.

He does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Oklahoma building elite 2025 recruiting class

With Hollenbeck now in the fold, Oklahoma’s 2025 recruiting class has nine commits and ranks No. 8 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Oklahoma City Millwood four-star wide receiver Jaden Nickens headlines the class as the No. 113 overall prospect and No. 15 wideout in the 2025 cycle — per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 2 player in Oklahoma.

Nickens headlines a trio of wide receivers committed to OU in the 2025 cycle. He’s flanked by Checotah (Okla.) four-star Elijah Thomas and Ennis (Texas) four-star Gracen Harris. Thomas is right behind Nickens, checking in as the No. 130 recruit in the cycle, while Harris is a top-250 prospect himself.

Other commits in the Sooners’ class include a trio of teammates from Oklahoma City Carl Albert High: four-star quarterback Kevin Sperry, four-star athlete Trynae Washington and three-star linebacker Marcus James. Sperry is also a top-300 recruit and is the No. 20 QB in the cycle. He was the Sooners’ first commit in the 2025 class.
