Oklahoma‘s 2024 recruiting class currently features a blue-chip pledge at just about every position except the offensive line. That is on the verge of changing, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

The Sooners are now trending for Tampa Catholic four-star interior offensive lineman Eddy Pierre-Louis following predictions logged by national recruiting analysts. Oklahoma has a 63.1% chance to land the 6-foot-3, 335-pounder’s commitment, while UCF is now in second at 29.2%.

Pierre-Louis is the No. 329 overall prospect and No. 27 IOL in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On Sept. 3, he named a top five of Oklahoma, UCF, Oregon, Miami and Texas A&M.

SoonerScoop’s Josh McCuistion placed an RPM pick in favor of Oklahoma on Oct. 4. The Sooners had Pierre-Louis in Norman for an official visit in June — his only OV thus far. Oklahoma signed his Tampa Catholic teammate, four-star linebacker Lewis Carter, last cycle.

“I have a great relationship with the O-line coach (Bill Bedenbaugh). He has recruited me since freshman year and he produces offensive linemen,” Pierre-Louis told On3’s Hayes Fawcett of Oklahoma upon naming his final five schools.

Oklahoma grooving with top-10 recruiting class

Oklahoma’s 2024 class is currently No. 8 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Ranking. The pledge list compiles 24 names, seven of whom are top-200 prospects, including Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman David Stone, the No. 7 overall player in the cycle.

Stone’s pledge came on Aug. 26, but the Sooners were quick to tack on the momentum with commitments in September from a pair of four-stars. Melissa (Texas) DL Nigel Smith II is a top-100 addition, while Tulsa (Okla.) NOAH EDGE Danny Okoye is the top-ranked player in the Sooner State.

Pierre-Louis would be the 13th blue-chipper to pledge to Brent Venables and Co., as well as the fourth offensive lineman, alongside a trio of three-stars: Fulton (Miss.) Itawamba Agricultural OT Isaiah Autry, Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon IOL Eugene Brooks and Edmond (Okla.) Santa Fe IOL Josh Aisosa.

Pierre-Louis does not currently have an On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
