Ennis (Texas) four-star 2025 wide receiver Gracen Harris has committed to Oklahoma, he announced on Monday.

Harris chose the Sooners over offers from Texas Tech, SMU, Mississippi State, Kansas, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and more.

The 5-foot-9, 160-pounder is the No. 232 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 37 wide receiver and the No. 40 sophomore recruit in Texas.

On3 is higher on him than other services though, tabbing him as the country’s No. 165 prospect, No. 26 receiver and No. 27 player in the Lone Star State.

He is the second commitment for Oklahoma in the 2025 cycle, joining four-star Prosper (Texas) Rock Hill quarterback Kevin Sperry.

Sooners on a recruiting roll

After a slow start to the 2024 cycle, Oklahoma has turned things up a notch. The Sooners started April with just one commitment. But Brent Venables and Co. grabbed five last month to jump into the top 15 of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

That was highlighted by landing On3’s No. 10 wide receiver Zion Kearney. The big playmaker out of Missouri City (Texas) caught 39 passes for 765 yards and eight touchdowns in 2022 and has terrific speed.

Oklahoma also landed commitments from four-star safety Jaydan Hardy, coveted quarterback Michael Hawkins, massive offensive tackle prospect Isaiah Autry and emerging wide receiver Kelly Daniels. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The Sooners are also trending with a number of top targets in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine.
