Oklahoma had one official visitor over the weekend in Norman, with four-star Elgin (Okla.) offensive lineman Antoni Kade Ogumoro making the short 60-minute drive up to see the Sooners.

Coming out that visit, the Sooners are trending in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). That follows a pick in OU’s favor from SoonerScoop.com recruiting insider Josh McCuistion, who believes they’ll win out over his five other finalists.

On Sunday, Ogumoro named the Sooners, along with Oklahoma State, Missouri, North Carolina, Kansas State and Tennessee as his top six schools.

Wrote McCuistion in making his pick: “The big blocker, who hails from Saipan, made his third trip to Norman in a little over a month. And in doing so became the earliest official visit of the Brent Venables era. The family hit Norman on Friday and made sure to maximize their time on campus on Sunday. Though his brother and father had to return home on Sunday morning Ogumoro and his mother remained through the the day.

As for Ogumoro himself, the visit seems to be a continuation of the Sooners momentum.

“It was an amazing visit,” Ogumoro said.

The Sooners continue to make a positive impact on his recruitment and it’s enough that the Scoop staff has decided to put in a prediction for Oklahoma with him.”

Sooners looking to add to a fast-growing 2025 class

The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder is the No. 372 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 29 offensive lineman and No. 9 recruit in the Sooner State.

Should OU land him, he’d become the third offensive line commitment for Brent Venables and Co., joining four-star tackle Ryan Fodje and three-star interior lineman Owen Hollenbeck.

Offense and in-state targets have been the focus early on in the 2025 cycle for OU, with five of their first nine commitments hailing from the Sooner State and seven expected to play on offensive at the next level. Co-offensive coordinator Seth Littrell has his quarterback with four-star Kevin Sperry out of the Oklahoma City area. His pledge has helped spur on a string of receiver commitments, led by in-state four-star Elijah Thomas Texas-based three-star Gracen Harris. The Sooners added another key piece to the puzzle on March 29 with the addition of four-star running back Tory Blaylock, who chose OU over Texas, Ohio State and a number of others.

On the defensive side, the Sooners landed three early commitments from linebacker Marcus James, EDGE Alexander Shieldnight and defensive lineman Ka’Mori Moore. They’ve added to that in a big way earlier this month, landing commitments from four-star defensive lineman Trent Wilson, four-star cornerback Maliek Hawkins, and three-star safety Marcus Wimberly.
