Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco three-star linebacker Jordan Lockhart has decommitted from Ole Miss. He announced the news on Twitter.

Lockhart is the No. 391 overall prospect and No. 41 linebacker in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 30 player in California.

Lockhart’s decision comes a day after he visited Alabama for the third time.

“The visit was great. It was awesome,” Lockhart told BamaInsider. “I really enjoyed it. Like I said, I really like the culture here at Alabama… I wish there were bigger words [to describe it].”

During the visit Lockhart told BamaInsider’s Joseph Hastings that he was able to talk with Nick Saban one-on-one for the third time. He was also able to meet and talk with new linebackers coach Robert Bala and defensive coordinator Kevin Steele for the first time.

“We had a great talk as far as how they see me fitting into the Alabama scheme if I was to possibly go up there,” Lockhart told On3. “Both guys, Coach Robert and Coach Steele, are down to earth… it was great, man.”

Lockhart’s decommitment leaves Ole Miss with one commitment in its 2024 class in four-star quarterback Demond Williams Jr.

Jordan Lockhart currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $48K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
