Ole Miss opened up their first scrimmage of fall camp to the public this weekend, as Rebel fans came to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to get a first glimpse of their 2022 team. Head coach Lane Kiffin was asked after the practice if he was happy with the crowd turnout of the scrimmage, and gave an interesting response.

“I don’t know, I’m not really worried about that so I didn’t pay much attention. I mean we opened it up because Kyle wanted you to be nice, so I’m sure everybody filmed today and every opponent has our plays not but you know, we’re just here to be nice to everybody,” Kiffin said.

Kiffin may have been referring to Kyle Campbell, Ole Miss football’s Associate A.D. for Brand Strategy, but it’s clear his main focus is on fall camp, prepping his team for this upcoming season, and keeping his cards close.

Vaught-Hemingway Stadium was special last season, as the Rebels went a perfect 7-0 at home last year. Ole Miss had it’s first sell out crowd since 2017 in their matchup last season versus LSU on Eli Manning day, then followed it a few weeks later with another sold out crowd versus Texas A&M. Kiffin was quoted encouraging his fans to show up for the LSU game last season and make an impact on their home field environment, and surely will want the same thought this season for the Rebels.

Ole Miss announced yesterday that their late season home matchup versus Alabama has sold out, and their team will definitely be hoping for the same news for future home games this season.

Lane Kiffin makes ‘stunning’ reveal concerning Juice’s social media presence

Ole Miss head football coach Lane Kiffin has one of the strongest presences of any coach on Twitter, and so does his dog, Juice Kiffin. Juice, the ‘unofficial mascot of Ole Miss’ recently expanded his social media presence to Instagram, which came with some surprising news from Kiffin from a recent press conference.

“Well I think you guys know the truth, I don’t run Juice’s Twitter, nor does Juice. I didn’t even know he has on Instagram, so I guess we can still play along with it, it’s really him and I’ll need to discuss that with him when he gets back from training camp. Because he goes to training camp in the morning from like eight till two every day you know, we ship him off,” Kiffin said.

Contrary to what Kiffin said, Juice took to Twitter and revealed the process of his Twitter activity.

The Juice Kiffin account was created in June of this year and already has over 19,000 followers. Whoever is managing the account is surely hoping for a similar following and traction on Instagram, as Juice continues to stay busy with his schedule at Rebels training camp.
