Lane Kiffin may have reeled in his biggest fish yet from the transfer portal. In a playful video tweeted by Kiffin, Ole Miss received a commitment from Alabama-based country music star Riley Green.

“I’m feeling good about it, I’m thinking Ole Miss,” joked Green, in the video released by Kiffin. “I’m taking my talents to Ole Miss. See y’all there.”

Kiffin and his impressive Twitter game doesn’t miss. He knew he had to get that video out for all of Alabama to see.

“LFG new 5 star transfer ⁦@RileyGreenMusic#ToTheSip@OleMissFB⁩ sorry ⁦@AlabamaFTBL,” tweeted Kiffin.

While Green may be associated with the State of Alabama — even having “from the great state of Alabama” in his Twitter bio — he was repping Ole Miss all weekend. Prior to chopping it up with Kiffin, Green was featured at the showdown between the Crimson Tide and the Rebels on the baseball field.

As you can see, Ole Miss had Green draped in Ole Miss apparel, complete with a jersey and all. It’s easy to see why the Rebels were able to flip the commitment, and get the country music star to stick with Ole Miss.

For Ole Miss and Riley Green, it’s just Different ‘Round Here. While Green won’t stop repping his home state, his trip to Oxford won’t be soon forgotten in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama baseball player makes incredible game-saving catch against Ole Miss

Alabama‘s Tommy Seidl wasn’t going to be intimidated by Riley Green — the right fielder made a spectacular catch Saturday in the ninth inning of a baseball game against Ole Miss. With the contest tied at 10, Rebels left fielder Kevin Graham hit a ball to deep center field that appeared to be heading over the fence.

However, Seidl tracked down the ball and made a clutch catch against the wall to secure the first out of the inning. The Ole Miss dugout was already in the midst of celebrating the home run. Then, they quickly stopped in disbelief as they watched. Despite allowing a runner to advance to second, the Crimson Tide would keep Ole Miss from scoring the rest of the ninth to force extras.

Alabama third baseman Zane Denton then hit a two-run homer in the 10th to give his team a 12-10 lead, which would end up being the final score.

With the win, Alabama has now clinched the series against the Rebels after it also won 7-4 on Friday. It is a huge upset win for the unranked Crimson Tide (20-12, 6-5 SEC), as Ole Miss (19-11, 4-7) was ranked No. 9 in the latest D1 Baseball poll. The two teams will square off in the series finale at 3 p.m. ET Sunday as Alabama goes for the sweep.
