Lsu Vs Ole Miss Preview

Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins is feeling better as the weeks roll on during the season thus far.

While Judkins and the Rebels couldn’t defeat Alabama on Saturday, the ball carrier looked more and more like himself in Tuscaloosa. He rushed for 56 yards on 13 carries, and afterwards he explained how much better he’s beginning to feel on the field.

“I would definitely say that I was healthier this game than I was the past few games, coming in with you know, the injury that I had,” explained the Ole Miss running back. “I felt really good Saturday.”

It’s been a relatively slow start to the season for Judkins, but that’s only because of the standard he set in 2022. The Rebels running back still has amassed 201 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns on the season, and Ole Miss possesses a solid 3-1 record.

While their performance against Alabama was disappointing, there’s no rest for the weary, as Ole Miss will take on LSU on Saturday. It’s the beginning of an onslaught of SEC games, and the Rebels will have to find ways to win.

You can bet they’ll be relying on Quinshon Judkins much more, who’s health bodes well for the usage he’s about to receive from his team.

Lane Kiffin on loss vs. Alabama: ‘Really thought this was our shot’

Moreover, Ole Miss leader Lane Kiffin was asked about how he and Ole Miss move on from the loss to Alabama and get ready for next week. However, he wasn’t ready to think about that, yet.

“I’m not there yet,” Lane Kiffin said, following the game. “This was really discouraging to come in here. I really thought this was our shot to beat these guys. Just thought there were some things there we could do, and didn’t get them done today.”

The schedule isn’t going to get any easier for Ole Miss next week. The LSU Tigers are making the trip to Oxford for what will be another ranked matchup. So, Kiffin will need to turn his attention there quickly.

“So, we’ll worry about next week, I guess, later today,” Kiffin concluded.

It was a frustrating loss for Ole Miss. Alabama appeared vulnerable due to the team’s ongoing issues at the quarterback position. At halftime, Ole Miss even led the game. However, the offense only scored 10 points after averaging 52.6 through its first three games.
