One day after picking up an offer from the LSU Tigers, fast-rising junior cornerback Keionte Scott of Snow (Utah) College has added an official visit to his schedule.

Scott, who is 6-foot and 185 pounds, announced on social media Tuesday night that he will be visiting Oregon this weekend. The No. 7 Ducks host Colorado Saturday afternoon and Scott is expected to be joined on the visit by coveted consensus four-star linebacker Lander Barton, On300 offensive lineman Josh Conerly Jr., five-star LB Harold Perkins, On300 DL Nyjalik Kelly, On300 EDGE Cyrus Moss.

It’s a monster weekend and getting Scott on campus could be big for the Ducks.

Scott is quickly establishing himself as one of the nation’s top juco prospects. The offer earlier in the day from LSU put him near the 30 scholarship mark

On Sunday, Scott tweeted out a top 12 list that included Auburn, BYU, CaliforniaFlorida StateNebraskaNC State, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Utah and Washington.

Keionte Scott’s recruitment heating up

Late October is when junior college prospects start heating up on the recruiting trail. Schools have multiple game films to evaluate college-ready juco prospects. Keionte Scott’s recruitment and film is a perfect example of that process.

Since October, Scott has landed offers from Minnesota, Nebraska, NC State, Florida State, TCU, SMU and now LSU. Auburn, a school that offered in late September, is scheduled to get an official visit in late November.

What makes Keionte Scott such an attractive player is that he’ll have four years to play three seasons at his next stop. Scott attended La Mesa (Calif.) Helix before heading to junior college as a non-qualifier. He will be a spring graduate from Snow College.

Third visit on tap for Scott

The visit to Auburn will be Keionte Scott’s third official trip of the recruiting cycle. He took an official visit to Arizona on June 18.

Scott does not plan to decide until the start of the February signing period. As a freshman at Snow, he had 27 tackles, 10 pass breakups, 5.5 tackles for a loss and three interceptions.

As Scott continues through the recruiting process, he has a good idea of what he is looking for in a school. He said he wants to pick a school with good education. Then he wants to see if he can envision himself living and playing football in that community.
