Isaiah Sategna is one of the best two-sport football recruits in the country. In addition to being a four-star wide receiver, the Fayetteville (Ark.) High student is also a one of the best track athletes in the country.

The Oregon commit displayed his elite track speed in Fayetteville (Ark.) High’s 42-34 win Friday over Bentonville (Ark.) High.

With the ball on its own 32 in the second quarter, Fayetteville (Ark.) High lined up in the shotgun with Sategna split out wide to the left. Bladen Fike faked the handoff and instead handed the ball off to Sategna on an end around.

Sategna took the ball and didn’t stop until he reached the end zone. Showing off his elite speed, he was virtually untouched for the entirety of the run except for a stray hand that would have had a better time swatting a fly than catching Sategna.

The touchdown tied the score at 21. The victory was Fayetteville’s first over Bentonville in the regular season since 2005 and snapped Bentonville’s 35-game conference winning streak.

Sategna will continue as a two-sport athlete in Eugene

Isaiah Sategna committed to Oregon over the summer and cited the success of both the football team and the track program as major reasons why he choose the Ducks.

He will play for the football team and run for the track team while in Eugene, Ore.

His track accomplishments are numerous and impressive. He is a 10-time state champion and holds two state records. He was the 2019-20 Gatorade Arkansas Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year.

His speed, hurdling and jumping skills all translate to the football field as he is the No. 149 recruit in the 2022 On300 rankings.

Sategna is one of eight players ranked in the On300 and one of three wide receivers along with Anaheim (Calif.) Servite’s Tetairoa McMillan and Katy (Texas) High’s Nicholas Anderson.

ScoopDuck recently caught up with Isaiah Sategna

Isaiah Sategna recently caught up with ScoopDuck to talk about all sorts of things.

He confirmed that he will enroll after he graduates from Fayetteville (Ark.) High as he is focused finishing school and his high school track career on a high note. But he is hoping to see the Ducks continue to have a great season.

“I hope to see them in the college football playoff for the first time in a while,” Sategna said. “I am excited because if they can get there, next year we can become an even better team.”
