Georgia transfer EDGE C.J. Madden commits to Purdue Boilermakers

Georgia transfer EDGE C.J. Madden committed to the Purdue Boilermakers, he announced on his Twitter page on Saturday evening.

He played seven games this season and eight in two years with the Georgia football program.

Madden logged the only stats of his career this fall. He finished with three tackles and did not register any stats last season.

As a member of the Class of 2022, Madden was a four-star recruit out of Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 33 overall prospect in the state, the No. 37 linebacker in the class and the No. 370 overall prospect in the class.

He helped lead Cedar Grove to a 12-3 record in 2021, his senior season, guiding them to the GHSA Class 3A state championship. During his sophomore season of high school, he played for Arabia Mountain High School (Lithonia, Georgia).
