Shawnee (Kan.) Mill Valley four-star EDGE Jayden Woods announced a list of five finalists on Thursday — FloridaPurdueWisconsinPenn State and Tennessee.

Now, Purdue is trending to land Woods in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

The Boilermakers sit at 79 percent in the RPM following an expert prediction logged by Kansas State insider Derek Young at a 55-percent confidence level.

Woods, a Kansas native, will take an official visit to West Lafayette on June 14. Additional scheduled OVs include Wisconsin (May 31) and Penn State (June 7).

The 6-foot-3, 228-pound Woods visited State College last month.

“The connection with Coach Barnes and Coach [Torrence] Brown was great the whole visit,” Woods told BWI following his March 12 visit. “I could really see myself playing for them. Talking with Coach [James] Franklin was great too. He actually recruited my dad and was with him at K-State back in the day. Watching number [Abdul Carter] and [Jameial Lyons] pass rush at practice was amazing. I got the chance to talk to [Dani Dennis-Sutton] about hand placement on pass rush, too.”

He also visited Tennessee last month.

“I got to meet with coach Ek[eler] for like 10 or 15 minutes, and I learned so much,” Woods told Volquest. “I can only imagine what I would learn if I came here. He is a very passionate and very genuine guy.”

Woods is the nation’s No. 190 overall prospect, No. 23 EDGE and No. 5 recruit from Kansas in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

5-star prospect headlines Purdue class

Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Siegel five-star cornerback Tarrion Grant has the chance to be one of the highest-rated Purdue recruits ever if he signs with the Boilermakers next winter. Grant committed to Purdue on January 14.

“They have known for over a month of my decision,” he told On3. “It just felt right for a long time now. They love me as a person and a player, and they believe in me and what I can do. They have done a great job talking with my mom and dad every day, too. The relationships I have with them are strong, but they are close to my mom and dad, and it’s felt right for a while.”

Purdue’s class also includes Dallas Parish Episcopal three-star quarterback Sawyer Anderson, Belleville (Mich.) three-star EDGE Rashad Jones, Muncie (Ind.) Delta three-star EDGE Landon Brooks and Akron (Ohio) East three-star running back Ziaire Stevens.
