Kemoko Turay, a former second-round NFL Draft pick and Rutgers star, was at the center of a postgame brawl during a CFL game Saturday. The B.C. Lions, who Turay plays for, beat the Montreal Alouettes 21-20 with a walk-off field goal from Sean Whyte.

But Turay was at the center of an altercation on the sideline featuring dozens of players from both teams. Turay allegedly went to enter the tunnel to the Montreal locker room and began shouting towards Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund of B.C. Turay managed to get a punch off.

It all turned into a brawl as it had players from both teams and parties in street clothes mixed in. You can see the chaos in the video below.

“Apparently, someone tried to get into our locker room, and you’re just not going to get into our locker room. You’re on somebody else’s team,” Alouettes’ head coach Jason Maas told local media members, via 3DownNation.

“I don’t know what happened. I know our team, our guys, did not feel very good about someone else trying to step into our locker room after that game, but I’ll let everything get sorted out. I’m sure they got plenty of video on it to see what did transpire. I don’t think any player around the league needs to go into an opposition locker room right after a game, let alone that kind of game.”

From Turay’s point of view, the defensive lineman was reportedly having a conversation with Montreal OL Jamar McGloster, whom he knew previously. But another individual approached, started trash talking and thus, everything else escalated.

“I don’t really know why (it happened). I wanted to give some passes to my family because they were here visiting and they (Turay) were already in our locker room, screaming profanity and throwing punches at coaches and players. What else can you do?” Adeyemi-Berglund told Joey Alfieri on the Alouettes’ post-game show.

“This is where we’re at, this is our locker room, and somebody is entering the locker room. It’s not gonna fly, man. It is what it is, we’ll let things go how they go, and I don’t really got to say nothing. You just got to protect the locker room. It’s our players in there, it’s our coaching staff, it’s our trainers — we don’t know what’s gonna happen.”

Turay was drafted in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Rutgers by the Indianapolis Colts. He played there for four seasons, played the 2022 campaign with the San Francisco 49ers and had practice squad/preseason stints with the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers in 2023 and ‘24.

Turay eventually had the same role with the St. Louis Battlehawks of the XFL in 2025 before signing with the BC Lions in the CFL. A New Jersey native, Turay had a solid career with the Scarlet Knights.

He was a Freshman All-American in 2014, logged 24 tackles, eight tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks, despite zero starts. He also had the game-winning blocked field goal in a win over Michigan in 2014, giving Rutgers their first ever Big Ten win.
