GG Jackson did not make anything better for South Carolina yesterday with a rant on Instagram Live where he criticized the Gamecock coaching staff. Now, the talented freshman has walked it back with a new statement on social media.

In response to the video that made the rounds after South Carolina’s 65-63 loss to Arkansas, Jackson has tweeted an apology to everyone involved in the situation as he recognizes that he let out his emotions ‘in a very inappropriate manner’.

Jackson finished the latest defeat for the Gamecocks with nine points and seven rebounds. However, it was even more brutal considering they had a chance to steal one from the Razorbacks. The problem for Jackson, though, seems to be that his last shot attempt came with 4:49 left.

Things are already frustrating enough for everyone in Columbia considering they’re 8-15 and dead last in the SEC at 1-8. That’s why distractions from Jackson like this, especially against the staff, can’t be tolerated, which makes his apology a step in the right direction.

Count GG Jackson among those frustrated with how he’s been handled at South Carolina this season.

After Gamecock’s latest loss, he took to social media to criticize the South Carolina coaching staff. Evidently, he’s not happy with his usage down the stretch of games, and he’s venting some frustration.

“Bro I’m not even getting plays drawn up for me in the crunch time bro,” Jackson said, via Instagram.

That’s something that likely won’t sit well with Lamont Paris. The Gamecocks head coach has already seen his team lose nine of their last ten contests, and Jackson’s antics aren’t going to fly with the coach.

It’ll be fascinating to watch what happens regarding GG Jackson and the South Carolina coaching staff. Whether they look his way more down the stretch or if Paris decides to punish his star remains to be seen. Regardless, the Gamecocks need something to change and change quickly.
