South Carolina forward Keyshawn Bryant has declared for the 2022 NBA Draft and hired an agent, according to a post on his social media page. After starting 72 of 98 games over four seasons with the Gamecocks, he has decided not to use his free year of eligibility made available during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Keyshawn Bryant enters the NBA Draft after averaging 9.9 points and 4.3 rebounds at South Carolina. His best season came in 2020-21 when he averaged 14.4 points and 5.4 rebounds under previous head coach Frank Martin.

The 6-foot-5 forward came to South Carolina as a three-star recruit who was ranked No. 175 in the country in the 2018 On3 Consensus and the No. 16 player in his home state of Florida. He chose the Gamecocks over Memphis, Wichita State and others coming out of high school.

“University of South Carolina, this journey has been nothing but life changing for me. First I would like to give praise to the Lord because none of this is possible without him. I would like to thank my family and friends for always having my back through times.

“To Frank Martin and the coaching staff thank you guys for everything you’ve done. To the fans and the university, this was an amazing four year’s here. Thanks for all the love and support. You guys made this an incredible experience for me.
