We are less than 24 hours away from a full schedule release from the Big 12, with a ton of interesting storylines bound to unfold. One of which will be the TCU Horned Frogs, who are fresh off a national championship appearance. A goof may have come out of Fort Worth though, with a leak being dropped on Monday.

TCU accidentally dropped its 2023 schedule shortly after the Big 12 announced the release would come on Tuesday. While they were quick to delete off the website, everybody on the internet has quick fingers and was able to grab screenshots.

While nonconference matchups were already known, the other nine Big 12 showdowns were leaked — assuming things stay true. Matchups at home against BYU and on the road to Houston bring games against new conference members, while soon-to-be-departing Texas and Oklahoma come in the final three games of the year.

With BYU and Houston being added to the schedule, two teams have been eliminated from the schedule for TCU compared to a year ago. Kansas and Oklahoma State will not have a game against head coach Sonny Dykes’ team during the 2023 season. Streaks of 11 years will be ended with both programs.

TCU to possibly face Texas, Oklahoma for final time

As things stand, Texas and Oklahoma are scheduled to leave for the SEC in the summer of 2025. However, a buyout could be paid and see an early exit from the Big 12, leaving this as the final year of the Longhorns and Sooners.

TCU could possibly be facing off against the two for the last time in 2023, with both coming during the final quarter of the season.

Fort Worth will be the site against Texas, a place the Horned Frogs have had success since joining the Big 12 in 2012. Three of five home matchups have resulted in wins against Texas and will be looking to end on a high note on the leaked Nov. 11 date.

However, if either of the two were to schedule a nonconference showdown with TCU, you would think it’s most likely the in-state Longhorns.

As for Oklahoma, this marked the first win against the Sooners since 2014. TCU has not won in Norman since the 2005 season when they were still in the Mountain West. Both teams will be hoping the season finale has serious Big 12 Championship implications on the line.
